Louise commenced pupillage with Bank House in September 2005. Since joining chambers as a tenant in September 2006 she has developed a wide interest in all areas of family law.
Louise has experience in a full range of children proceedings including public law applications, private law applications and adoption cases. She is regularly instructed to represent parents and other family members in both public law and private law cases including those cases which involve chronic neglect, domestic violence physical and/or sexual abuse. She further has experience representing children both directly and through their Guardians. She also acts for local authorities in public law cases.
Within the private law sphere Louise’s practice encompasses all types of private law applications including applications for leave to remove from the jurisdiction, applications for change of name and applications relating to choice of school.
Louise’s work also includes all types of personal protective injunctive relief applications and committal and enforcement proceedings.
Originally from Ireland, her clear and direct advice coupled with a friendly and approachable manner are suited to the sensitivities of many family cases.
Louise also holds presentations in relation to many aspects of family law, including Domestic Violence and Abduction. These presentations are accredited with CPD points for attending solicitors and professionals.
