Mr Smith has a wide experience of both prosecuting
and defending in the Crown Court across the whole criminal spectrum.
Over the last few years he has developed a particular expertise
in dealing with historic sexual allegations, particularly in cases
involving child witnesses. He has a longstanding interest in military
matters and has represented clients both at Court Martial and Military
Boards of Enquiry. His background in banking means that he is comfortable
in dealing with cases in which there is a financial element.
